This year’s first game of football World Cup that is to be held in Brazil is scheduled to start in a week from now. The slowly booming tradition among almost all the major events of sports, Google released Street View Imagery for All 12 World Cup Stadiums. Apart from the stadium itself, Google took its cameras to the specific and all the possible areas around the venues and also various other sites in the country as per the sources. These areas were inclusive of the likes of the St. Michael of the Missions and Iguaçu National Park.
Along with this updated, Google said that the Brazil’s Street View apart from its prior sights, now also features exclusive images taken over from hundreds of exquisite and interesting sites all across the country. In addition to this, the team in today’s date released exclusively new and added imagery from the different countries of Central and South America including different cities like Chile, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru.
Google is obviously adding the constant developments of the new imagery to the Street View and over the years, images pertaining to various different stadiums were added and launched too. Company says that, this time around, it wishes to bring in something akin to the legacy of digitization of the year 2014 tournament in the years coming ahead. This idea can be hoped for with the creation of these images of the World Cup Stadiums and also the streets that are present in its vicinity.
In addition to this, Google also perfectly managed to launch the street views of some of the most iconic block of the city in Brazil; images of its painted streets. Rio de Janeiro’s Rua Pereira Nunes displays the most artistic “Galera de Pereira Nunes” group work who genuinely painted the block since the year 1986, for each and every World Cup.
The further proposed concept seems to be hype, but for the people like us who would most preferably be watching the games on the sets of the TV these proposed images will surely offer us with some sense of their scale. Even for the people, those who plan on going to Brazil, to celebrate the games watching the tournament live in person, maps of near about 100 places along with other data like malls, airports, etc is made available.
Four years later Google will undoubtedly make a comeback with a view of capturing the images of all the venues selected for Olympics as well, in Brazil. And, you never know, we might all be experiencing them by putting on our VR helmets.
