Samsung introduced the security update plan in April today, where it was detailed that some galaxy devices would get regular security patches. The company updates this list every month, so that the new device is added and the old device is excluded.
According to the Security Update Plan in April, 4 galaxy devices will receive a monthly update (once a month), 3 devices quarter (once in three months) and 20 devices twice a year.
When is the security update on any samsung galaxy device
The list of monthly updated devices has the new models of Samsung Galaxy Fold and Flip Series, S 21 FE, from the S21 Fe to the newly exposed S25 series, and the Galaxy A56 5G. Also some enterprise models such as Galaxy A53, A54, A55 and XCover Series will also be updated a month.
The quarterly update list includes the previous generation S21, Note 20, various models of A series (A13, A23, A34, etc.), M series, F series, F Series and several devices in the series S&A.
The devices that will get updated twice a year include the old A22, M32, F42 series and the Galaxy Tab A8 and TAB S6 Lite.
Samsung smartwatch will get Watch 4, Watch 5, Watch 6, Watch 7 and Watch Ultra quarter update. The Galaxy Book 4 series of the PC department will also be covered by security updates.
