GO-Biz to Offer New Round of Calif. Competes Tax Credit Workshops

SACRAMENTO – Gov. Jerry Brown’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is hosting a second series of workshops on its new California Competes Tax Credit (CCC) program.

Following the dissolution of the state’s Enterprise Zone program earlier this year, new programs have been created in its place under the Governor’s Economic Development Initiative. For details, please see Go-Biz to Offer California Competes Tax Credit Workshops, CA Cities Advocate, Dec. 4, 2013.

The CCC program provides upwards of $180 million in tax credits over the next two years for businesses of all sizes that want to expand or relocate to California.

During the workshops Go-Biz will discuss proposed draft regulations for the CCC program, provide an overview of the enacting legislation, discuss the proposed draft regulations, and welcome feedback from the community.
