Gluten Free Product Review: Glutino’s December Roundup

By Calvin Eaton @glutenfreechef5

Hosting is always stressful and the stress o meter seems to go up a notch or two during this time of the year. But it doesn’t have to. Brands like Glutino and Udi’s have made it easier than ever to host gluten free with a wide array of ready to eat snacks and baking mixes. I learned this recently when I hosted a small shindig where in addition to a few homemade snacks I was able to taste test two products from Glutino’s ready to eat and baking mix lines.

glutino sugar cookies
First up was the Sugar Cookie Mix. I baked up a few dozen mini sugar cookies some plain, some with almonds, and a few dozen snickerdoodles. The cookies were light with crispy edges and a soft middle. Not quite as sweet as I like my sugar cookies but a great replacement for from scratch sugar cookies.

peppermint yogurt pretzels

These Peppermint Yogurt covered pretzels and their salty + sweet flavor profile were a huge hint. No one could stop at just one and these pretzels were gone in seconds.

With careful planning, a simple menu, and a combination of quick finger foods with ready to eat snacks you too can host with ease. Products from Glutino takes the guess work out of what will I serve and allows you- the host to spend more time with your guests and less time in the kitchen. Which is really what it’s all about. Come back tomorrow for a special surprise from me & Glutino’ to you.
