The event will be held at Hilton London Paddington, 146 Praed street, LONDON which is just blocks from the hotel the ICANN meeting will be held and is one of the recommended ICANN hotels for the meeting so many of you will be staying there are well

Registration is limited to 350 people and with some 2,500 or more expected to attend ICANN you should register quickly as possible.
As you can see below there will be drinks and food and networking starting at 4pm local time.
There will be a big screen TV showing the World Cup game as well.
Finally at 5:30 Local time, there will be a live auction of premium .Global domain names.
Online Bidding for the auction will be allowed, and pre-bidding is already ongoing at Namejet.com.

Join us during ICANN 50 In London for the live .GLOBAL premium domain auction. We are auctioning 70-80 .GLOBAL super premium domains, such as BANKING.GLOBAL and AIRLINE.GLOBAL. The auction event is open to all and drinks and canapes will be served and you can even watch the World Cup games at the auction.
A live online auction will run concurrently with the physical auction allowing both international and local investors to participate. We expect a good mix of interested parties to the auction as we are inviting domain name industry investors, together with local investors and traditional London based luxury-goods investors. The vast amount of the domains in this auction will carry a reserve of $5,000 or less (USD) and are subject to regular registration and renewal rates.

Pre-Bidding
Pre-bidding is possible on the NameJets platform prior to June 24, on-site bidding with online access on June 24 and post-bidding on unsold domains on the NameJet platform from June 25 to July 5 2014.

The Timing

The reason for this timing, is the fact that .GLOBAL is commercially available from June 25. The Internet governance organizationICANNis having a London meeting June 22 – 26, that is expected to pull between 2,000-3,500 domain industry participants to London. Many of these are domain investors who may be interested in acquiring premium quality domains in the .GLOBAL namespace.
