As someone who is always looking for clipart or photos for some reason or another (usually advertising) .... I was quite suprised and happy when the good people at Fotolia asked me to review their site. Like a kid in a candy shop, I found that Fotolia is full of fantastic images. Actually they are the largest image bank of free and affordable royalty free photos and illustrations. They offer a variety of mediums for web or print projects. With over 12 million photos, graphics and HD videos that are perfect for presentations, design and web publishing you can't go wrong using their site. I was suprised to also learn that Fotolia is a worldwide social marketplace which allows individuals and professionals to legally buy and share stock images and illustrations. The image bank increases ten fold everyday since artists, photographers and designers are constantly adding new images to the site every day.
In playing around and downloading some great images I was extremely happy with the clarity, size and colors. Being able to look for a certain image; for example: Feathers and Hibiscus Flowers; there were hundreds of vector art, photographs, line art, graphics, videos and photos to choose from. What a time saver. Plus I found images I would not have thought to look for. You can look for photos based on emotions, themes, colors and even time periods.
