George Clooney Tops the List of Housewives’ Favourites

By 72point @72hub

George Clooney has been revealed as the man that most appears in the fantasies of British housewives- the housewives’ favorite. A study of 2,000 housewives found that the Ocean’s Eleven star is the man that most occupies their thoughts while their husband is away at work.

George Clooney tops the list of Housewives’ Favourites

Although no stranger to being lusted over, the results prove Clooney, now 51, hasn’t lost his touch with the fairer sex – beating Hollywood hunks Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp to the accolade.

James Bond star Daniel Craig shot into fourth – with the nation’s married women happy to have the Skyfall star spy on them.

No list would be complete without the presence of David Beckham – Golden Balls rounds off the top five.

The research was commissioned by Celebalike- the app that shows you which celebrity your face resembles most.

The Celebalike spokesman commented on the findings:

“George Clooney’s appeal among women is pretty well documented but the results show that even as someone over fifty, he still earns the adulation of many a married woman.

“Of course Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt have long held the admirations of many women, while David Beckham’s looks are always going to get attention- but his image as a family man makes him a favorite for many.

“While it’s not just the mature man who gets attention – Robert Pattinson is still in his twenties and shows that the younger man will always prove appealing.”

Oscar-winner Colin Firth has the regal touch to have many swooning, while Ewan McGregor and Orlando Bloom follow close.

X-men star Hugh Jackman claws his way in at ninth, while Gary Barlow clearly has the X-factor for many of the country’s women and rounds off the top ten.

Ryan Gosling has the power to put many women in a flutter, while Michael Buble also seems to be hitting the right note.

Many a British housewife is also eager to share an out of this world experience with former Dr Who star David Tennant, who makes an appearance inside the top 20 biggest crushes for housewives.

The inimitable Robbie Williams finds himself at 16, while Twilight vampire Robert Pattinson is the youngest man to get the blood rushing for married women.

X-factor host Dermot O’Leary proves a favorite among Britain’s betrothed – closing the top 20 most wanted men.

Research also showed that one in seven married women would go as far as to say they have a particular celebrity they obsess over and regularly daydream about.

A sixth of married women spend time wishing their celebrity would come and whisk them off somewhere romantic- while a cheeky one in eight say they would be prepared to leave their husband should an opportunity with their favorite celebrity ever crop up.

In fact, one in ten women admitted their partner had warned them that their infatuation with a particular celebrity was getting too much.

On average, the women studied deemed 24 as the age they felt it was ok for a married woman to date without feeling the age was a barrier.

One in four women were even happy to be deemed ‘cougars’ – reasoning that dating an 18 year old was perfectly acceptable.

While a sixth of women confessed there are many celebrities that they’d much rather ‘be a mom too’ rather than fancy – Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Styles and Justin Bieber were most likely to inspire maternal feelings.

The Celebalike spokesman continued:

“It’s interesting to see that so many women feel dating a younger man is acceptable and clearly age 24 is about right.

“It’s surprising to see that so many married women readily admit to having  a celebrity obsession but it’s important that the daydreams don’t impose upon the marriage.

“Of course, the average man can’t expect to compete with George Clooney, but they can find out which celebrity they resemble.”
