Variety is reporting that Gal Gadot has signed a three picture deal with Warner Bros to appear as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, a Justice League movie and a stand alone feature.
Before you get too excited, locking her in is just a smart thing to do because if the Man of Steel sequel is a smash, then her asking price would go up. It doesn’t necessarily mean we will get that standalone movie, but at least it shows they are planning on it.
Also, this announcement seems to squash the rumor that the Man of Steel sequel is really going to be a Justice League movie, but I still think it will be used to set that movie up. Plus, since that movie has been pushed back to May 2016, we may not see that standalone movie until 2018 or later.
