Friday is Rock'n'Roll #London Day
Adam writes… The Rock'n'Roll London Walk kicks off at 2pm today at Tottenham Court Road station.
Friday is Rock'n'Roll #London Day The Paul Simon Songbook (CBS 1965) This London classic was deleted for a number of years, but is now happily available again on CD and download.
Not that such matters troubled us – as you can see, our vinyl copy is still going strong (pic, above).

Recorded at Levy’s Recording Studio at 73 Bond Street right here in London, the album is a relic of Simon’s London exile of ’64 and ’65. The girl in the sleeve picture is Simon’s then girlfriend Kathy Chitty, a native of Essex. Her name crops up twice in later Simon and Garfunkel, namely songs Kathy’s Song and America.

And here's our Rock'n'Roll London film…

A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
