For The Sweaty Ones: The Best Workout Headband Money Can Buy

My head sweats a lot when I workout. I mean A LOT. If I arrive at the gym and realize I’ve forgotten a headband, I have a minor freakout and then remember I always keep a back up in my gym bag for this exact reason. For me, working out without a headband means sweat dripping on the floor, trickling into my eyes, and constantly wiping my face off with my shirt. Not a pretty situation, not to mention annoying. My search for the perfect headband has been years in the making, and I finally found the all around perfect headband! Wins in all categories – function, fit, appearance and price.

Bondi Band headbands are the best headbands money can buy! They are the first headband I’ve worn that I can wear for an entire workout without adjusting. Which is saying a lot, because I’ve tried many over the years, always with my fingers crossed in the checkout line hoping my new one will be better than the others. My favorite style is the “light sweat wicking” headband (click here to see it on their website). This style is lightweight, non-slip and is great at wicking sweat.  It stays put and can get sopping wet without dripping sweat into my eyes (gross and gratifying at the same time when you can wring out your headband at the end of a workout?).

So that explains how Bondi Bands win in function and fit, but what about appearance? The style that I wear has a thicker band and goes pretty far back on my head, which is a look that I like. I also love it because it keeps any fly aways out of my face and helps to capture more sweat. You can also fold it over to make it thinner if you please. It’s a very thin fabric so it doesn’t look bulky on your head and can be worn over or behind your ears. As for colors and fabric designs – I hope you like options! Going to the Bondi Band website makes me feel pretty boring for always sporting a plain black headband (it matches with  everything, what can I say). You will find a plethora of colors, designs, styles and not to mention headbands with bling, if you’re into that sort of thing. They have some pretty clever sayings to make you giggle and motivating sayings to keep you going! You can also create your own custom headbands and add your own saying or logo.

Last but not least, Bondi Bands are cheap too! I picked mine up for $9 a piece at a local running store, which looks like the same price as online. Definitely a steal considering I was consistently paying $15-$20 for other brands. I also found out that you can get five headbands for $30 by using the coupon code FIVE at checkout. Some other aspects of the company that I like is that it was created solely out of need. The founder wanted headband that was fashionable and did not slip and she was disappointed by what was currently on the market. Seems like a pretty solid company that I am happy to give my money to!
