Foals gave the performance of a lifetime at Terminal 5 last weekend in support of their new album What Went Down which is on many Best of 2015 lists. The opening act, Circa Waves, got the crowd ready with sounds reminiscent of The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys and then Foals took the stage.
There’s a reason why these guys are known as one of the best live acts of the moment. Frontman Yannis Philippakis has energy unlike anything I’ve seen. At one point, he made his way to the second floor and jumped into the crowd. Every moment of the show was absolutely exhilarating. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this band headlining some major festivals in 2016.
