A 2-year-old boy got a gun out of his father's bedroom Tuesday and accidentally shot himself in both legs, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said. Child-welfare workers and Orange County deputies are investigating why the gun was unsecured and the toddler inadequately supervised at his home on West Livingston Street, near North Powers Drive. The boy suffered a single gunshot wound to both legs, said Sheriff' Offices spokeswoman Ginette Rodriguez. He is being treated at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and is in stable condition. Rodriguez said criminal charges are forthcoming. Now that's more like it. Why is it usually so difficult to recognize that whenever a kid is injured with a gun some adult is responsible? In this case it sounds like they're doing it right.
