Coorg

Hampi

Also known as the world’s largest open air museum, Hampi is located about 375 km from Bangalore.  A UNESCO world heritage sight, Hampi is a fascinating land of monuments, verdant hills and resplendent ruins.

Best explored on foot, the little town offers plenty to see and do.  If you are done with exploring the heritage sights and the architectural wonders,  visit the ancient village of Annegundi or trek up Hemakuta hill to watch the breathtaking sunrise and sunset.  If you are a bird lover, indulge in some serious bird watching on the banks of the Tungbhadra which is a truly enjoyable experience.

Chikmagalur

Yet another quaint hillstation, Chikmagalur lies about 250 km from Bangalore.  Nestled in the Western ghats, Chikmagalur is the epitome of tranquility and verdant landscapes.  While in the town you can visit the highest peak of the state, Mullayanagiri which forms for a truly exciting trek.

A perfect blend of the contemporary and classic, Pondicherry which was a French colony till 1954 lies about 300 km from Bangalore.  Whether it is the colonial charm of the White town or the bustling Tamil quarter, Pondicherry offers a plethora of experiences.
