Fiona Shaw English National OperaFiona Shaw is amazing. Not only is she an accomplished actress who just finished a full season run as Marnie on True Blood, but she’s also an accomplished director. In 2010, Fiona directed a very well received production of the opera Elegy for Young Lovers for the English National Opera (ENO). And now she is returning to direct a production of  Mozart’s the Marriage of Figaro.

The Marriage of Figaro opens October 5th at the London Colosseum and runs through November 10th. Tickets start at € 19.

To get audiences excited for this new production, the English National Opera has released an extended trailer featuring Fiona herself discussing the opera’s story and what she loves about it. It’s a really cool and interesting video. Watch:
