By Twothirstytravellers @2thirstytrav

If you are a person who gets excited by cooking demonstrations or just enjoys sampling new foods and spirits, then you need to attend the 2019 TASTE! Philadelphia Festival of Food, Wine, and Spirits.

This all-things-culinary event is celebrating its twentieth year, and its popularity continues to grow. The festival is being held this year at the Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia. The resort’s newly renovated convention center will serve as the primary location for the activities from October 31st through November 2nd.

What You Will See

The festival offers you an opportunity to collect new recipes, learn innovative cooking techniques, sample fresh foods, get inspired by novel food and beverage pairings, or simply pick up some entertainment and hosting tips. One general admission ticket gives you access to a wide variety of food exhibits where you can taste some new foods or some familiar ones that are prepared in a novel way.

You can also attend beverage tastings and cooking seminars hosted by national and local professional chefs and visit the on-site store to purchase a bottle of your favorite wine or a kitchen gadget. There will also be special events like celebrity drop-ins and autograph signings and even a kick-off VIP Masquerade Party to celebrate the season. These additional events may require a separate ticket. You can view the festival details and the special session schedule and even purchase your tickets online.

Get in On All the Action

To ensure that you do not miss a thing, you should be sure to stay at the festival for the entire weekend. This is easy to do since area accommodations are very accessible. The Valley Forge Casino Resort offers a variety of room types with a number of on-site dining options and live entertainment. It is home to a premier casino and sportsbook.

If the casino environment is not for you, you might want to choose the Hyatt House Philadelphia/King of Prussia. This hotel sits in the middle of a slightly different kind of action. It has a contemporary décor and offers rooms, studios and suites, a quiet bar area, and an indoor pool.

Complete Your Weekend

If you decide to venture beyond the festival and are looking for things to do in King of Prussia Pa, you may be surprised to learn of the variety of attractions the area has to offer. Valley Forge Historical Park is within 4 miles of the resort and the King of Prussia Mall is directly across the street from the Hyatt House. The Mall is home to some of the area’s most prestigious stores and you can dine at upscale restaurants like Capital Grille and Maggiano’s. For something a little more adventurous, you can try indoor skydiving at iFly or axe throwing at Bury the Hatchet. You can walk to most of these locations or you can use a taxi or car service.
