DPRK state media released a short documentary film on 19 December (Wednesday) of Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) and his wife Ri Sol Ju (Ri So’l-chu) paying their respects to the body of his deceased father, leader Kim Jong Il (Kim Cho’ng-il).  The film also shows KJU, RSJ and other members of the DPRK’s central leadership touring an exhibition of KJI’s personal possessions and various awards, titles and honorifics that he received from foreign countries.  KJU’s visit, the public display of KJI’s remains and the exhibition were part of events held between 18 and 19 December to commemorate the first anniversary of KJI’s death.

The first part of the film shows a variety of DPRK leadership and foreign guests paying their respects to statues of the late DPRK founder and President Kim Il Sung (Kim Il-so’ng), Kim Jong Un’s paternal grandfather.
