FGI Dallas Brings Old Hollywood Glamour To Vintage Martini on September 12

During the "Golden Age of Hollywood" stars like Bette Davis, Greta Garbo, Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor and so many more appeared in films wearing jewelry designed by Eugene Joseff. You don't want to miss an exciting exhibition FGI Dallas is bringing to Empressive GeoDesigns on Wednesday, September 12 titled JOSEFF OF HOLLYWOOD: The Man, The Company, The Legacy. The program will focus on Joseff's early days in Hollywood and the establishment of the Joseff company in the early 1930’s. Joseff of Hollywood worked with designers such as Edith Head, Walter Plunkett, Travilla, & Adrian, providing custom jewelry for blockbuster films including Gone With The Wind, The Little Princess, All About Eve, The Women, and Cleopatra.

The program will also include discussion of his early innovations in both metals and plastics, something which was unseen on the west coast at the time. His early demise, transition of the company to his wife Joan Castle, and development of their wartime aerospace line will also be discussed. The program will continue with Joseff’s current and future projects with the legendary company. As a special guest, FGI Dallas will have Tina Joseff who will give special anecdotes about the company she’s worked with for 40 plus years. Get your questions ready for the Q&A with her. Following the lecture, an assortment of Joseff jewelry items will be available for purchase from their vintage retail line. A sample of movie worn items from the Studio Collection will also be available for viewing. Valet, drinks and light bites will be provided.
