First Lady, and author, Sarah Jakes Roberts posted a beautiful message to husband and pastor Toure’ Roberts:
This was the first day our children met. We went on a date to Disneyland. This was our first attempt at trying to blend our family. I was nervous. I wanted the kids to feel as comfortable together as we did. He wasn’t. He knew that God wouldn’t intertwine our hearts and then leave our children to suffer. As he led us through Disney he walked his fine line of allowing everyone to have fun, but still knowing exactly where everyone was and the best way to get to them if they wandered too far. He started covering them on this day. He started demonstrating what a father does.

Our family has grown and the blending is more exciting and enjoyable than stressful. Since this date we’ve added another life into the world, been blessed to do international ministry, attended graduations, had birthday parties…and well…created our own kind of Disneyland each and everyday. And it’s all thanks to the sacrifice and vision that @toureroberts makes for our family. Thank you for spearheading our growth and making sure none of us got lost in the process. I love being under your covering and protection. I pray you feel honored today and everyday because you’ve deposited so much into everyone you encounter. I. Love. Me. Some. You.
