Fashion Rules to Follow in the Casino

By Attireclub @attireclub

Whether you're James Bond or Vince Vaughn in "Swingers", there's the casino is your place to be. They are the runways of gamblers everywhere, and there's no shortage of an audience to impress. But what are some fashion rules you must abide by to have a great casino look? We're going to take a look at some essential things you need to know to dress for success.

Fashion Rules to Follow in the Casino

James Bond has immortalized the tuxedo look at the gaming tables. Whether a white or a black one, it's a slick look that can impress both your fellow gamers and the casino staff. Of course, with a white tuxedo, you must be really careful with food and drinks, so, for a more freeing experience, go for a black tux.

Don't have a tuxedo? Not a problem. A white linen suit with an old panama is accepted casino wear in many parts of the world. Or maybe a black suit and a hat, like the Blues Brothers.

Depending on the time and the place you go to the casino, you will discover that there are different dress codes. Monte Carlo at midnight? Tuxedo for sure.

Playing the roulette in the American Midwest during the day? Something more casual will work.

Despite the fact that most people associate casinos with stylish attire, many gambling places these days accept more casual styles too. An outfit composed of a dress shirt, jeans and slip-on shoes can be a good thing to wear too in some casual casinos. You can even add a sports jacket to complete the look. Of course, if you're playing free slot machines from home, you don't need to dress up all that much.

When it comes to accessories, there's a lot you can wear. Why not put on a cool watch, a nice bracelet or even a subtle chain? You can also go for some great colorful socks, a fancy tie and add a pocket square to your jacket. Cufflinks and a belt can also add a dash of style to a look.

The only accessory a man should not wear inside a casino is a tie bar. Tie bars are meant to be worn outside, as their purpose is to keep your tie from flying away during windy conditions.

Unless you are playing poker, there is no need to wear sunglasses indoors. Of course, people who have medical conditions are the exception, but otherwise, while many might think that casinos and sunglasses go hand in hand, there is no reason why they would.

Also, you should always make sure you don't wear too many accessories: three or four is enough, if you don't count the socks.

Casinos are all about having fun. And your look should reflect that. Regardless of whether you go for a great evening look or for more casual attire, the most important thing is to feel comfortable and to have a good time. If nothing else, you'll feel confident in your look and will have a nice time even if you don't win big.
