Facebook Marketing 300x200 Facebook Marketing: 4 Wrong Moves That Are Preventing Your Business From Maximising The Benefits Of Facebook PageFacebook marketing is growing and becoming really popular amongst businesses on the social media platform.

The fact is that having your business on Facebook is not just enough if you want your business to maximise the benefits of the platform.

Yes, it’s important to build a solid social media presence, but unfortunately, that alone doesn’t mean your business is doing well on the platform.

You may even have already created a significant Facebook presence, so now you may be wondering, “Just what do I do now?” How do I leverage my business’s Facebook presence? It’s a good question.

Below are four ways you are not maximising the benefits of your Facebook presence:

#1). Your Facebook marketing campaigns are not targeted

Getting your message to the right audience is very important when it comes to marketing. If you are using Facebook for your business marketing and you are not getting the desire results from your investments, then something must be wrong with your audience.

Who are your audience? Have you done a research to identify who your service or business is meant for? Are you targeting the local people or those far away from your business?

This is the first thing you must get right. No matter the amount of money you spend on your campaigns, you will never be able to get ROIs if you are not targeting the right audience.

#2). You aren’t breaking a new ground with your Facebook fans

You may have hundreds of thousands of people following your business on Facebook but if you are not making use of them the right way, you are not maximising your presence on Facebook.

Fans or followers on social networking sites are powerful business marketing tools that can be used to make your business improve its visibility. You can use your Facebook to inform customers and fans of new products and sales. Remember that your Facebook fans are already interested in your business, so why not take advantage of that for some free and effective advertising?

Unlike traditional advertising that blindly reaches out to a wide range of people that may not need or want your services, advertising on your Facebook page is guaranteed to reach the most receptive consumers. Since they already know of and probably even use your business, they’ll be more likely to take advantage of your promotions.

#3). You aren’t offering giveaways to hook new customers

Your current Facebook fans likely consists of your current customer base. That’s great, but wouldn’t it be even better if you could use that to get new customers, too?

A simple way to get your current followers to tell their friends about you is to post small contests or giveaways. Have your followers share or like your post in order to enter the contest.

This will automatically spread your post to their friends’ Facebook feeds, so they’ll all hear about your business, too. If you’re really ambitious, you might even offer them an extra entry for every friend they get to enter your giveaway.

Giving things away can go against the grain, but don’t worry. It doesn’t have to be anything major. People love to get something for free even if it’s small. The winner gets a prize, and you get some business. Everybody wins!

#4). You are not getting enough feedback through Facebook

If you know the importance of feedback as one of the essential marketing tools that businesses can use in their marketing activities, then I bet you will be asking for it from your fans and followers.

If your fans and followers on social networking sites are primarily consist of your customers, you should be making use of them to get positive feedback for your business. These positive feedbacks will go along way to help you attract new customers for your business. It’s an absolute blessing if you’re trying to fine-tune your business strategy.

No doubt about it, if you are looking for ways to add to or improve your business, Facebook is going to be your best friend. You could go with a poll or online questionnaire. Be sure to include at least a few open-ended questions so that customers can offer suggestions that you might not have thought of.

You can also take advantage of the casual nature of the platform by just posting a simple question on your page, and take note of the comments you get. It’s fast, it’s free, and you’re sure to get some honest and useful answers.
