EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN AMBULANCE DRIVER (PART TIME)



Position title P/T: Emergency Medical Technician / Ambulance driver (part-time)

Position purpose and summary:

Under the Paid Staff supervisor of Marion Volunteer Fire Company, the ideal incumbent will perform duties associated with providing rescue services and emergency medical care to the sick and injured in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Marion VFC policies.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent must possess and apply knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of an emergency medical technician/ambulance driver and rescuer. The incumbent with a minimum of essentials of fire fighting training will be able to participate in fire fighting activities.

Scheduled hours of duty and starting pay:

Part time personnel will be regularly scheduled from 07:00 to 15:00 on Thursdays. Part time employees will also be asked to work all other days to fill in for call offs, and fill in for vacations. Part time employees will not be permitted to be scheduled for no more than 30 hours a week and must work a minimum of 3 shifts per quarter to maintain employment. Starting pay will be $10.00 per hour for regular time and $15.00 per hour for unscheduled overtime pay. The incumbent with a minimum of Firefighter I will be able to participate in fire fighting activities with approval.

Minimum qualifications:

·Current Emergency Medical Technician and CPR minimum of two years experience

·Hazardous Materials Operations

·EVOC

·Valid Driver’s License /Clean Driving Record

·Clean Background Check

·20 years of Age

·Blood borne Pathogens

·N.I.M.S. 700

·Basic Vehicle Rescue
