Last week I was happy to see that the Richmond Centre opened its new upper level food court, the Dining Terrace. Having worked in the mall for a long time, I am astonished by how much change has occurred over the years. Amongst a bunch of standard fast food restaurants in the Dining Terrace, I was particularly drawn to the new gelato shop – Froshberg Gelato. This gelato brand is from Ontario and this is its second location in BC, the first being in Coquitlam.
Froshberg offers a bunch of fun gelato flavours; there’s something for everybody here. I love their colourful and tempting display of the gelato.
During my first visit I got a double scoop in a cup with Bubblegum and Ferrero Rocher. Both these gelato flavours had a rich and creamy texture that I loved. The bubblegum flavor was sweet and refreshing, but I would have preferred some bubble gum bits inside. The ferrero rocher had a strong taste of hazelnut that mirrored the actual chocolates very well. This was definitely a delicious treat to have in the middle of the day.
Next time you go shopping in Richmond Centre, be sure to check out their new food court and Froshberg Gelato. This gelato is top quality and I definitely wouldn’t mind having it everyday. The only downside to it is that it can become a bit of an (expensive) addiction.
