Easy Canvas Print Review - Travel Photo Contest Bonus Edition

By Livingthedreamrtw @livingdreamrtw
My photos are probably my number one souvenir from any trip.  With over 12,000 taken in my 5 months in Asia, you could say that I have a minor obsession.  In my cubicle at my new job I printed nearly 15 8"x10" pictures on our photo printer and hung on my wall as a reminder to myself of all the fun places I've been.
At home we are going a different route and blowing up canvas prints of our favorite pictures in 16"x20" format hanging on our wall as decoration.
Our recent acquisition was given to us by Easy Canvas Prints which we had a poll on our Facebook Fan Page to pick the photo that we had enlarged.  Even with four choices, there was a dead heat between two and our famous Eiffel Tower photo came out on top.
Navigating through Easy Canvas Prints' system was easy, and within minutes our canvas was ordered with exact specifications that matched the canvas photos we already have from other companies.
The wait began... and ended quickly.
We received our canvas in near record time as shipping standards go and unwrapped it immediately with great results.  A few nails later and the canvas was up on our wall with the rest of our photos, anxiously waiting for our next canvas acquisition to join the wall of fame.

Contest Time!
Thanks to the success of our Facebook Poll and positive feedback on all photos, Easy Canvas Print offered an 8"x10" canvas for one lucky reader to go along with our review since we were so happy with the service!  Since we just got done with hosting our own game of Photo Roulette, we want to have the contest in similar style.
The Winner
After much deliberation, we picked Jaime's photo of the dodgy pool hall in Granada as the winner of this contest because of the story the picture tells.  In his words about the photo:
"It was taken at a dodgy pool hall in Granada, Nicaragua. I remember playing the game of pool all the while trying to snap a photo of the the others playing with out them noticing. I took several photos until finally snapping this one. I honestly think it turned out great. I would love to hang this over a pool table or even office. I love the colors green & yellow and then the bright shine the light made."

Congratulations to Jaime!  For the rest of the entries into this great contest, scroll below.  Of course, check back soon for more contests that we frequently host.
To enter:
1) 'Like' Easy Canvas Prints on Facebook at the following link:  http://www.facebook.com/easycanvasprints
2) Share the photo you'd like enlarged to 8"x10" in the comment field below!
3) Due to shipping constraints, this contest is only open to US residents.
We will be choosing our favorite photo as the winner on July 1st, and our criteria is basic - keep it in a travel theme and tell us about it!  The background of the entry may end up being the deciding factor if all the photos are awesome!
Remember, not all photos are automatically formatted in dimensions of 8x10.  So if you win you'll have to crop it to that format.  Just something to keep in mind as not all photos crop decently.
Like Photo Roulette, we'll be uploading all the photos for this contest in the post over the next week, so check back to check out all the entries in the contest and help us pick a winner by commenting on your favorites!

#2 Warren: "Agreed - so hard to pick one photo! I went to South Africa this year on my first major international trip, and ended up with countless pictures of Cape Town, safari's, beautiful beaches, and incredible historic sites. I would love to have this picture printed to remind me of Cape Point, the most Southern tip of Africa. The views were breathtaking! "

#3 Angela: "My sabbatical has taken me all over the globe in the last 2 years. Being an avid traveler, some of my most memorable photos involve landscapes, water, and chillaxing. This photo was taken in Tayrona National Park, Colombia"

#4 Michelle: "After dreaming about this exact location for the past 15 years, I was finally able to experience it firsthand. I've always dreamed of witnessing this place and exact island from the minute i heard about how remote it was. I spent nearly 3 weeks in this location this past spring. I would wake up and walk onto the beach and this was the view from my hut. It was invigorating and refreshing. The island sitting behind the longboats is Phi Phi Leh."

#5 Jen and Matt - "This photo was taken in Brimley, MI in a spot that I've been over 30 times in my life. It may not be an exotic location, but something about going here is better than any country I've ever been. I always know that it has been a successful trip when a freighter goes by first thing in the morning."

#6 Melanie - "Kyoto is the most beautiful city that I've visited (so far), and I found the Fusimi Inari Taisha Shrine to be one of its most picturesque spots. On a previous trip to Japan, I'd bought a used kimono, which I then wore to Fusimi Inari. (I had to have a Japanese girl help dress me the morning I actually wore it!) I like how the color and shape of the dress "matches" the shrine."

#8 Amanda - "I'm a sucker for sunrises and sunsets, and this one is one of my favorites I've ever seen. I took this photo on Paraparaumu Beach on the Kapiti Coast of New Zealand one autumn evening. I was especially glad to be there, because I had almost skipped the Kapiti Coast altogether. I'm so glad I didn't."
