In the newest building of SM North EDSA, you will find a dessert shop that brings a fresh twist on the classic Filipino ice cream sandwich we all love. The place is called Dough Creamery and they offer creamy soft serve ice cream on top of their special doughs (bread).
They currently offer the Spindle (No, not the one from the Grimm Brothers' fairytale but the delicious one made of dough) and Waffle Pop. During our foodie meetup, we were able to talk to one of the owners. He mentioned that they might add a new one soon so stay tuned!
What's the process, you ask?
First is to choose which dough and filling you like. Let's say, the Spindle and Blueberry. Then you have to wait for just a little while. They just need to flash-fry the bread to achieve a doughnut-like texture and then let it cool down. Once it's ready, the filling will be added and then the soft serve ice cream.

What do I recommend?
If you're not that full, you will definitely enjoy the Spindle. I truly enjoyed love their blueberry filling because it reminds me of my favourite doughnut flavour but better because of the ice cream.
BUT if you're full and want to indulge in ice cream, the Waffle Pop is a perfect choice. Honestly, you can never go wrong with the filling. Once it's topped with ice cream and you take a bite, each layer is a delicious surprise.
Oh, by the way! Besides those delicious sandwiches, Dough Creamery also offers refreshing Cream Soda and Floattea. They offer Matcha, Passion Fruit and Wildberry. I'm actually a fan of matcha but as a cream soda, I prefer the Passion Fruit and Wildberry flavours.
For the Floatea, they offer Milk Tea flavour. I know you want it! They don't have pearls though but this drink will surely quench your thirst.
