Door of the Month: 1 Rue Cassette & 98 Rue Du Cherche Midi

By Eyepreferparis88 @eyepreferparis

DOM-10-14-1It’s a double header this month of two intricate ironwork doors from the early 1900s.
The first door at 1 rue Cassette has a dramatic wrought iron diamond in the middle with a worn down handle appearing to be copper.
At 98 rue du Cherche Midi, near where my photo exhibition was last month, is a plaque with Maurice Jaubert’s name on it. Jaubert was a composer in the early 1900s and his music was used later on in Francois Truffaut’s films from the 1970s. He died from battle wounds in WW II in 1940.
