Diet Doctor Podcast #64 — Dr. Jason Fung

By Dietdoctor @DietDoctor1

Dr. Jason Fung is well known for pioneering the use of fasting as a medical intervention to aid weight loss and treat diabetes. But before he could understand fasting's therapeutic role, he had to understand the underlying cause of these conditions. He came to believe it was too much insulin.

In his new book, The Cancer Code, Dr. Fung applies that same approach to cancer. Before he could identify the best way to treat and prevent cancer, he had to understand what cancer truly is and the underlying causes. His book takes a deep dive into the history of how medicine has understood and approached cancer.

Through this progression, Dr. Fung helps us better understand what we can do to prevent and treat cancer more effectively.

Dr. Fung has a great deal of hope for the future of cancer treatment, and hopefully, you will, too, after hearing his thoughts on it!
