The 49 year old was assistant director on 27 episodes of Time Team - the archeology show hosted by Tony Robinson - and first assistant director on a 2010 Everest documentary entitled The Wildest Dream.
The Alternative Iraq Enquiry (trailer below) was born from David Lawley-Wakelin, the freelance documentary filmmaker who was so incensed by the Iraq war that he made the bold statement from the audience of Question Time suggesting whether Tony Blair was a liar prepared to kill in the name of oil. On this premise, Lawley-Wakelin travels to Iraq to ask its citizens and military personnel whether they agreed with him.
David was interviewed on LBC (London's Biggest Conversation) 97.3 about a) how he got into the Leveson Inquiry and b) more details about his claims against Blair.
In his defense, Tony Blair was Under Oath at the time, remember, he stated in court, "What he said about Iraq and JP Morgan is completely untrue. I’ve never had a discussion with them about that."
Lord Leveson then basically said, "You did not need to respond to the intruder's accusations."
