The Crown Plaza, Moncton
I stayed two nights during this summer at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Moncton, New Brunswick (Canada). As we are Platinum class members of the IHG, to which Crown Plaza belongs, our room was upgraded to a suite.
The hotel is located in downtown. It is not a very new hotel, and one can smell that unique but subtle musty odour. But make no mistake, this is not an old hotel when it comes to elegancy or the services it offers.
The Rooms

As mentioned, we were upgraded to a suite and it was a suite indeed. It was made up of two sections – a living room and a large bed room.
The living room contained a two-piece sofa along with a writing desk, TV, fridge, coffee machine etc. The bedroom consisted of another, smaller desk and a TV along with a bed.
The Globe and Mail was delivered to the doorstep while downstairs there were a couple of other local newspapers available.

There were free water bottles, which I always appreciate. I find it almost atrocious some hotels charge huge amounts for a bottle of water.
Internet was part of the deal, and it had a pretty decent upload speed. What is more important, the hotel had plenty of jacks to use for charging the laptop, cellphone etc. That is, this hotel is ideal for those with lots of gadgets.

One of the unique services of Crown Plaza hotels is its Sleep Tight kit. Tucked in the inside pouches are three products: Repose Aromatherapy Resting Cream, AAAHHH Soothing Balm for Aching Feet and Limbs, and a small tube of Quietude Calming Mist. There have been various reviews on these products but I have not tried them. Not yet.

Another service that is unique to this chain is the guarantee to resolve the customer’s issues within 20 minutes or be compensated ‘adequately’.
With an excellent service and no hiccups in the room, I had no opportunity to test this service. That is to say, this is a great hotel for the modern traveller
