Habs had an offensive-zone puck-possession success-rate of 57.2% during the first round series against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
ROUND 2 (VS. BOSTON)
The Habs have produced an offensive-zone puck-possession success-rate of 49.6% through 3 games against the Boston Bruins. Montreal has attempted to cycle the puck in the offensive-zone more often against the Bruins. They have attempted to beat players 1on1 (deke) less often, while attempting to shoot more often.
DEFENSIVE-ZONE PUCK-POSSESSION TENDENCIES

Habs produced a defensive-zone puck-possession success-rate of 71.8% during the regular season.
ROUND 1 (VS. TAMPA BAY)
Habs produced a defensive-zone puck-possession success-rate of 75.1% during the first round series against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
ROUND 2 (VS. BOSTON)
The Habs have produced a defensive-zone puck-possession success-rate of 70.5% through 3 games in the Boston series. They have chosen (or been forced) to make standard outlet passes less often against Boston than they did during the regular season. Not surprisingly, they are choosing the dump-out option more often; although the d-zone tendencies against the Bruins compare reasonably well with those produced versus Tampa Bay.

The Habs have chosen the chip-dump option far more often during the playoffs.
