Not so long ago, Cassandra from Citrus Clear emailed me asking if she could send a pack of beauty goodies for review. Got this parcel all the way from New York, US of A about two weeks ago.
Here’s what I got: 2 jars of Citrus Clear’s bestselling products.

Product Description: The Citrus Clear Tangerine Tingle ($18.99) can be used as a face wash or a face mask. The longer you leave it on the more it tingles! The tingling action is from the ingredients in the scrub doing two things: (1) removing dead skin cells, and (2) stimulating production in new, fresh skin cells. Contains gentle exfoliating ingredients which remove oil, dirt, and impurities. Contains glycolic acid which exfoliates dead skin cells and keeps pores from clogging. Lemon oil helps improve and brighten complexion.
Ingredients: Organic Citrus Herbals, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Olive Seed, Tangerine Essential Oil, Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil, MSM, Jojoba Beads, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Vitamin C, Organic Rhubarb, Organic Blueberry, Wildcrafted Lemon Balm, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Orange Hydrosol, Lemon Essential Oil, Citrus Lime Essential Oil, Mandarin Essential Oil, Orange Peel Extract, Peppermint Essential Oil, Vitamin E, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin.
Directions for use: Wash face with warm water. As a face wash, use circular motions to gently exfoliate skin. As a mask, allow product to remain on skin for 2-4 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Some users may experience a slightly reddish appearance after use. This is to be expected from the citrus extracts and glycolics in the scrub. The redness may last for 1-5 minutes, before disappearing into fresh, new skin.
My thoughts: This product really lived up to its name. Why? Because the longer you let it stay on your face, the tinglier it gets! The scent can be a bit overpowering but tolerable. Having this on my face reminds me of Willy Wonka’s oompa loompa. Lol! You can use this product as a face wash or mask. However, I suggest rinsing it off with warm water since the orangey stain is a bit difficult to remove as it would take about 3-4 facial wipes total. Expect some redness on your skin after but it’s nothing alarming.

When combined with the potent citrus essential oils, the clay and citrus come together to create a powerhouse in pore cleaning. This product is recommend to clean and shrink pores to avoid future enlarged pores.
Ingredients: Organic Citrus Infusion, Organic Aloe Vera, Kaolin clay, Sodium Magnesium Silicate, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Cellulose Gum, Purified Smectite Clay, Vanilla, Sweet Orange Essential Oil, Wildcrafted Lemon Balm Extract, Orange Hydrosol, Lemon Essential Oil, Citrus Lime Essential Oil, Mandarin Essential Oil, Orange Peel Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin, Spirulina, Sea Kelp, Grapeseed Oil.
Directions for use: Apply to dry or damp skin. Allow to remain on skin for 4-8 minutes until mask dries. Rinse with warm water.
My thoughts: The citrus/vanilla scent is lovely (mild and not overpowering). Also, the white clay-ish mask has a bit sticky consistency so I advise you to use some sort of miniature spatula when taking the product out of the jar. I find this milder than the Tangerine Tingle and there’s no redness after application. This product is best for those with sensitive skin. It’s a must-try for acne-prone and oily skin. Love the clean feel afterwards too! I suggest applying this once a week to give your face the deep-cleansing it needs.

Citrus Clear is a great brand. Whatever your skin type, you’ll find something that will suit you with their line of skincare products. It’s all natural and safe. You’ll find no harmful chemicals in the ingredients.
