Christmas Gift Guides.... What to Buy for Mum's at Christmas?

By Annamoss84 @missanniebean
There is no better bond than between a mother and her daughter, so it'll come as no surprise this is one of my favorite gift guides to put together.  Shopping for my Mum is easy and for most mother's.... the majority of us find shopping for our Dads a whole different kettle of fish!
Mums at Christmas
I've kept it very simple again because obviously I can only gift guess so much without knowing the person.  If you really are struggling regardless, by all means get in touch and I'd be happy to help.
Stationary
Oliver Bonas Mum's Diary
A diary was one of my first ideas.  The new year looms and getting a crisp diary at Christmas, is delightful way of saying 'a new start awaits'.  If your mom likes to plan and keep hers and the families life in order, this is an ideal gift especially in this light shade.
Nightwear
Next Navy Star Pyjamas
Pyjamas are a great gift even if it's not for your Mum,  but as a present for someone special then high quality ones can't be beaten and if you can't spend tht much then going for the fun prints is a good second choice.
Chocolate
Terry's Chocolate Orange
You can never ever go wrong with some sort of chocolates.  For me Terry's Chocolate Orange is a chocolate that is a fence sitter, classier than a Chomp but not quite a Green & Black's.  Always a great choice for a stocking filler or a small token... plus it's a sharing chocolate!
Bags
Cath Kidston Autumn Bloom Backpack
I popped along to the Cath Kidston SS15 press daty (watch out for my post coming soon) and it seemed wrong not to put it into my gift guide.  There are numerous items from Cath Kidston that work for Mums and that's not me saying it's 'frumpy', it's just very versatile for a range of ages and a beautiful gift too.  I was especially drawn to this bag because of the colours, print and style and reasonably priced too.  If you're ever in London pop into the St Pancras store... I love going in!
Necklaces
Wallis Red Bead and Stone Necklace
I've seen some of the new necklaces for SS15 at a recent press day and I'm amazed how on trend Wallis has become over the years.  I like how stylish their necklaces are without being too outragous but equally so they are far from boring, meaning they can be a great Christmas gift.  If you opt for a present like this then I suggest some nice tissue paper to wrap then box it.
Perfume
The Best of Lancome Set
Buying perfume can be a risky area unless you really know a person.  I know that my Mum loves anything with a floral scent so nothing musky or over bearing otherwise she'll get a headache.  I'd be happy to select this travel sized set of Lancome fragrances as it gives the gift reciever a selection to chose from, it also covers you if you picked one they weren't as keen on as the others.  I know for a fact my Mum would adore something like this, but if you know yours has a favorite then there are wonderful gift sets out there too.
Candles
Laura Ashley Butterfly Frosted Candle
I've chosen this Laura Ashley candle after falling in love with the scent of their Sweetpea one from SS15 press day. Other options for a more expensive gift is maybe a Yankee candle or a Jo Malone candle.  Getting a big beautiful candle is an amazing back up present for anyone whether they're your Mum or not!
There you have my next Gift Guide installment for Christmas 2014!  I hope this has helped? As always any tips or ideas please share below...
