Ready, Set, Go....My Christmas present hunt is off!
I'm quite proud of myself for getting such great gifts so far and having some good ideas. Sounds awful but the only person I struggle with is the males of the family, each year I try so hard to pick something and regardless they never seem as excited as I hoped they'd be. I know what you're thinking, maybe it's just them? Well, I assure you it's not because other presents seem to work out amazingly!
This year I have been taking notes of each gift receivers loves and hates in life. I started by listing them all and going through to what will be a good present to suit them. Listening in on plans for the year and subtly noting if there was anything I could supply them with... sneaky but very clever!
I always think if you plan in advance with Christmas you can really deliver a great range of presents. You just need to listen and take note of what the person you're buying for is interested in... Do they have a hobby? Are they planning any upcoming adventures? Maybe you could encourage a new hobby or adventure?!
One of my biggest issues has always been my brother, usually I'm on the nail with getting a present for him but this year I truly have struggled. Luckily I was casually making tea in the kitchen and noticed his trainers were falling apart, (honestly these had been on his feet for ages and were needing some TLC) I did the sisterly conversation starter and took a jab at him wearing them, he just told me he needed some new ones... wait... he needed new trainers! With my fashion knowledge I could get him some decent adidas originals to wear instead of his current out of date old shoes.
It seemed to be winning all round because this gave me something extra interesting to to hunt for.... and you can't beat adidas originals - they're a classic! Purchasing anything that is a classic item (especially with fashion trainers) is the ideal option and I strongly advice that for all present seekers!
As my Christmas resolution, (which I strongly advice for all) start thinking about your gift giving well before November and December creep up.... take not of the key people as early as possible. From this you can be thrifty and get a present they really want and need!
