We are pleased to announce the 3rd Postgraduate Conference on Logic and Philosophy of Science
entirely devoted to young researchers.

The conference is intended to gather young researchers working in the field of logic and philosophy of science and to offer them the opportunity to present and discuss their papers in an informal and stimulating environment. The conference is divided into five different sessions, namely:
1) Non-Classical Logics: semantics, proof theory and applications
2) Philosophy and Foundations of Physics
3) Philosophy of Biology and Health Sciences
4) Philosophy of Formal and Cognitive Sciences
5) Models and Foundations of Computing

The sessions will be chaired, respectively, by the following scholars:
1) Giovanna Corsi (Univ. of Bologna) and Pierluigi Minari (Univ. of Florence)
2) Elena Castellani (Univ. of Florence) and Federico Laudisa (Univ. of Milano-Bicocca)
3) Giovanni Boniolo (Univ. of Ferrara) and Raffaella Campaner (Univ. of Bologna)
4) Lorenzo Magnani (Univ. of Pavia) and Francesco Paoli (Univ. of Cagliari)
5) Guido Gherardi (Univ. of Bologna) and Silvio Ghilardi (Univ. of Milan)

We invite submissions in the aforementioned five areas of research from PhD students or scholars who have been awarded their PhD in the last 4-5 years.

Notification before 18 April, 2016.

Each session will host 4 different talks (40 minutes for each talk + 10 minutes for questions) which
will be selected through a double blind peer review process.

The conference will open with two memorial lectures by Vincenzo Fano (Univ. of Urbino) and
Claudia Casadio (Univ. of Chieti-Pescara) honoring our friend and colleague Giorgio Sandri (Univ.
of Bologna) who passed away in June 2015.

There is no admission fee.

Free lunches and dinners will be provided to the participants selected (in the event of two or more
authors of a paper, only one author will receive the benefits). Participants must find their own travel and accommodation expenses. Low rates accommodation is available at:
