Castell'Arquato (Piacenza, Val D'arda) , an Amazing Place Unknown for Your GPS

By Xxlauraxx @all4italy
Val D'Arda is  a place out of the mass tourism. In a previous post I have written you an idea of a mini tour in this part of Italy.

Val D'Arda mini tour
The tour could be longer but today I would like to stop in an amazing little town in Val d'Arda. I went here last week and I felt like to be in an unique and magical place. The name? Castell'Arquato ( Piacenza).  I don't know why but my GPS didn't recognize the location.  Obviously! It is in a parallel word, out of all.  Joking aside Castell'Arquato is a medieval bourg. In this little town there is Visconti  Stronghold. The stronghold with its two towers , dominates the village and Val d'Arda. The tower stands above  the entire complex, keystone of urban defence and the surveillance system over the whole valley. All the village is a special place. So take your time and stroll around all this magical place.  Here the pics I made for you.
