Carrie Preston at the Season 4 Premiere of True Blood
According to the JournalStar.com, Carrie was director Sarah Knight’s first choice to play Claire in David MacGregor’s screenplay adaptation of his stage dramedy.”She read the play and agreed to do it right away,” Knight said. “She was the first to come on board. She’s been completely supportive and enthusiastic. She herself is a director. She understands what we’re going through here.”
Knight concludes two weeks of filming Friday at David Dale’s photography studio at 16th and A streets and plans to submit the film to film festivals either late this year or early next year.
The four-person cast also includes Bernard White, Heather Raffo and Brian Hutchison. White, too, has turned a few heads in Lincoln. His credits include playing Rama-Kandra opposite Keanu Reeves in “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolutions.”
