Call of Duty Black ops 2 Review, Zombies and Surprises

Now that the election is over, we can get on to the more important things in life, like the latest Call of Duty offering!  Robert Downey Jr. and zombies?  Yes.  We like it.  Like like like. For a while, we were worried.  There seemed to be very few commercials announcing the new game and no great ad spots showcasing all of the cool new features and old favorites we were expecting.  Then, we realized, when you are competing for ad spots against the billion dollar presidential campaign, and hundreds of millions of dollars for state and local campaigns, even Call of Duty takes the backseat for a while.

The lack of commercials also made us a sad panda based on the fact we are suckers for good commercials from the Call of Duty line.  Some of our favorites over the years included the introduction of the AC-130, or as we call it in our circles "the game changer," and the Call of Duty Black Ops "There's a Soldier in all of us" was simply a well shot commercial.  It accurately displayed all of us killing each other in an online fun factory and still living our normal lives.  When the guy answers the phone from behind cover with "concierge," we cannot help but smile.  However, the best commercial of all time has to be the launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.  This video was a glimpse into the most anticipated game of all time and the footage did not disappoint.  The use of Eminem and Nate Dogg's "Til I Collapse" perfectly presented the game to us with a great blend of audio and video experience.
Some things we like - The bloodbath that was Nuketown is back.  Although that map was tiny, we liked the close quarters combat and high numbers of kills to boost counts and call in those famous kill streaks.  Not to mention, it looks like zombies are back!  Although we are not personal fans of the zombies feature, it is a mainstay of this side of the CoD line and it is nice to see some things haven't changed.
Some things we don't like - Like the past Black Ops game (and World at War before it) the graphics look a bit "cartoonish."  Some people have a hard time understanding exactly what that means, but we think, if you play the CoD series, you know what we are talking about!
