Author, Kathy Parra, does a fabulous job of describing things in nature like rain, snails, and concepts such as: gentle, sweet, and life by using the 5 senses. The illustrations are done in beautiful hues and add to the liveliness of the story.
The humanistic and descriptive use of the earth takes on a life of its' own with the personification of nature and references to "Mother Nature" within this story.
