Boca Bacchanal - South Florida Food & Wine Festival

By Take A Bite Out Of Boca @shaywiz
I'm sure all you South Florida foodies know of the wine & food festival, Boca Bacchanal, hosted by the Boca Raton Historical Society. It's a weekend long festival held in March (this year it's March 23-25) with plenty of events leading up to it. You can learn all about it here. I joined the Grand Tasting Committee, helping to plan the last event of the weekend. The Grand Tasting is a foodie's heaven, with about 30 local restaurants bringing their most delicious menu items for attendees to taste. There will also be a presentation of 140 wines, as well as herbs, produce and speciality oils available for purchase in The Marketplace. The event is on Sunday, March 25th from 12-3pm at the Mizner Park Amphitheater right here in Boca. Tickets will be available at the door for $100, but you can also purchase them in advance for $85. Some of the restaurants that will be participating are City Oyster, The Capital Grille, Wave 2700, Max's Grille, City Fish Market, Nespresso, Texas de Brazil, Sea Level Restaurant, Maggianos, Uncle Julio's, Red the Steakhouse, Truluck's, Rack's Downtown Eatery & Tavern, Oceans 234, and so many more.
I have had the opportunity to dine at some of these restaurants, such as City Oyster, Max's, Uncle Julio's and Racks, all of which have never let me down. I'm a big fan of the sushi at City Oyster, and Uncle Julio's has a great happy hour special with half-price appetizers and $5 drinks, including their signature Frozen Margarita and Sangria Swirl. I went to Rack's for the first time not too long ago and really enjoyed everything. As for Max's, that has been one of my go-to restaurants for as long as I can remember. Going to Mizner Park has always been a favorite part of my family's Florida vacations in the past and now that I live here, I love it even more.
I'm really excited to be a part of the Boca Bacchanal Grand Tasting. Not only will I be surrounded by delicious food and great restaurants, but I'll get to meet lots of other people who enjoy all aspects of food, just like myself. If you live in the South Florida area and would love a day full of food, wine & fun, plan on checking it out. I hope to see you there!
