Blogging Tip Thursday: Tags vs. Categories
what the post is about.  Tags should be used to provide the reader with more detail as to what your post is about.

So what is the difference between tags and categories?

Categories let the reader know what your post about also, but on a much broader level.

You want to have few categories, but many tags.  For example, You would have a category on your blog about Guests.  Your tags could consist of: RSVP’s, seating, A and B lists, etc.

Tags also assist with your SEO and help search engines find the topics you are blogging about.  When deciding on tags, use relevant keywords from those you are targeting.

Happy Tagging!
