What is your blog about?
Travellous World is a blog on London and other travels. It tries to highlight the less known aspects of London. It is aiming to show the best sides of the city and of other travel destinations with stories and travel photography.
What inspired you to start your blog?
The passions I have for London, writing and photography combined made up the complete package that inspired me to start Travellous World.
When did you start your blog?
I started my blog as a ‘test’ back in February of this year. When I noticed that I was completely falling in love with the whole concept of blogging and sharing my love for London and travel with others, I completely re-designed my blog, bought a domain and re-launched Travellous World only a few weeks ago.
How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
Of course I’m the new kid on the block, so I haven’t been through all the struggles that long-time bloggers have gone through, but by looking at photos I made during my travels, I get the necessary inspiration to write a new post.
What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?
TIME! I’ve noticed that time is my enemy. I want to fully engage in blogging and learn everything that I still need to learn about it. ‘Unfortunately’ I’m also trying to pursue my master’s degree in business communication and digital media ánd I’ve other hobbies, and a social life to maintain. I love everything that I do, but I just need more hours in a day!
In the future where do you hope your blog will take you?
First of all, I really need to be focusing on growing the traffic for Travellous World. That’s priority number one to me at the moment.
Have you met anyone interesting/famous on your blogging journey?
Actually, a month before starting my blog, I met up with quite a celebrity in the blogging world, who was visiting my home country the Netherlands. Her story about how she started blogging inspired me even more to start a blog myself.
If you could do only ‘one thing’ today then what would it be?
Take a trip to South-America!
