Square changed their name 4 years ago to Block,Inc. The company’s brands include Cash App, Square, Afterpay and TIDAL. One of the things that excited .xyz investors was the company started running their umbrella site on Block.xyz. They use .com, .app, .world and .xyz for their brand websites.
What I found interesting was last month they decided to change their stock symbol on the NYSE. Nothing that would denote Block but rather XYZ. The former symbol was SQ.
Block will release their financial results for the fourth quarter of 2024 today the after market close.
