Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari Takes Oath as Pakistan’s Foreign Minister

Scion from the prominent Pakistani political dynasty, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, on Wednesday took the oath as a Foreign Minister in the government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at an important intersection when he faced various challenges such as improving the tense relations with the US and finding ways to for Doing this to be a way to do this to find ways to search for the peace process with Indian neighboring countries.

President Arif Alvi gave an oath to 33-year-old Bilawal at a simple ceremony at AIWAN-I-SADR (President’s House), where Prime Minister Shehbaz, former Asif President Ali Zardari and other officials and leaders of the Pakistan Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) present.

This is for the first time when Bilawal has been given a key position in the government and assigns the main portfolio of the country’s Foreign Minister. He was first elected to the National Assembly in 2018.He became the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at an important point when Pakistan needed a stable hand to direct foreign policy through waves.

Among the main challenges, Bilawal needs to improve tense relationships with the US after conspiracy accusations by former Prime Minister Imran Khan and find a way to restart the peaceful peace process with Indian neighbors.Mr Khan was overthrown from power earlier this month after losing votes without trust in his leadership, which he thought was part of the US conspiracy that targeted him because of his independent foreign policy decisions about Russia, China and Afghanistan. He, however, did not provide credible evidence to support his claim. The US strongly denied his claim.

Pakistani’s relationship with India worsened after New Delhi announced attracting special strength Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019.India has said that they want a normal neighbor’s relationship with Pakistan in an environment that is free from terror, hostility, and violence. India said its responsibilities were in Pakistan to create an environment that was free from terror and hostility.

Bilawal took an oath almost a week after he met the Supremo Muslim-Nawaz (PML-N) Pakistan (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif in London last week where they discussed “overall political situation” in Pakistan and vowed to work together about problems related to National politics and interest.
