There’s nothing like watching a good Christmas movie to get you in the spirit of the season. One minute you’re an angry and greedy Scrooge, and the next you’re a joyful Santa Claus wanting to spread holiday cheer everywhere you go. That’s the magic behind a good Christmas movie. They remind us about the importance of charity and good-will, caring for those less fortunate, and showing our loved ones how much they mean to us. They make us laugh, they make us cry, they make us remember the meaning of Christmas.

Whether young or old, chances are you’ve come across Home Alone. It’s a classic comedy from the 90’s starring the child star Macaulay Culkin as Kevin Mcallister. The movie does a great job of teaching the importance of family, as well as the bond between a son and his mother. Many of us dream of being as far away from our relatives during the holidays, but Culkin’s character Kevin soon learns that being alone for Christmas is more like a nightmare he can’t wake up from. The performances by Danny Devito and Daniel Stern as the bumbling buffoons trying to rob the McCallister home provide some of the best comedic moments.
