Bell Bottoms and Snakeskin (Plus a Fun Way to Spend a Sunday Afternoon in L.A.)

By A Girl In Nyc - Lifestyle Blog

The bohemian era of the 1960s is one of my favorite decades and for the longest time I've wanted a pair of perfectly fitting dark wash bell bottoms. This past April I got invited to an Alice and Olivia cocktail party and I splurged on a pair to wear to the get-together . When I tried them on the cut was perfect (too perfect to not purchase), but the length was super-long. Instead of putting them back, I took them to my tailor and had them hemmed for an extra $20 dollars and it was well worth the investment. The day of the party, I wasn't feeling well and I wasn't able to attend. A few weeks later I brought them with me on my vacation to Arizona but the temperature was in the upper 90s each day so they sat in my suitcase.

Fast forward to this past Sunday when Billy and I went to was to die for), Smorgasburg (for the first time) and then spent the afternoon strolling around . I paired these chic bell bottoms with a snakeskin printed bodysuit that I bought for AZ and didn't get a chance to wear. As we shopped and sampled delicious food (the vegan cauliflower mac & cheese Alice and Olivia bell bottoms are the most flattering and comfortable jeans I've ever owned . I received so many compliments with people asking me (in person and in my DMs) where I purchased them. These high-waisted As we approach fall and the days get cooler, I'll be wearing them all season long with chunky sweaters and platform booties.
