BBLUNT Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Colour Honey Light Golden Brown 5.32 Review

By Parinaaz Mehta @pdm28

I have always wanted to colour my hair but never found an opportunity and more so, I was always sceptical about global colouring. As I am too lazy to maintain hair after colouring (which is an expensive deal) kept me at bay from doing it. Finally, BBlunt has launched its own 7 hair colouring shades named as BBLUNT Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair. Now you don't have to go to a salon for getting your hair coloured as you can do it all by yourself at home. I received one the shades of which is Honey light- Golden Brown from their PR .

I have coloured my hair using this and thought of sharing an honest review with you all.

Product Details

BBLUNT's Salon Secret High Shine Crème Hair Colour is a 3-part hair colour that gives you salon-like gorgeous hair at home. Packed in this box is our salon's secret to dazzling hair colour. Simply mix the luxuriously creamy Colourant and Developer together in equal proportions and add the Shine Tonic. Now mix till smooth for a fragrant, non-drip blend. Apply and Voila! You're only 30 minutes away from epic, shiny hair! This no ammonia hair colour gives 100% grey coverage that lasts up to 8 weeks long. Available in 7 blockbuster shades.

How to Apply: The BBlunt Salon Secret box contains an instruction leaflet, 4 tubes and 1 plastic gloves.

1 tube of Secret Salon Developer 50gms

1 tube of Salon Secret Colourant 50gms

1 tube of Salon Secret Shine Tonic 8ml

All 3 ingredients are supposed to be mixed in a non-metallic container. Somehow I found the leaflet to be confusing with respect to the quantities that required to be mixed for the shade to develop well.

My Take on the product

As it was my first experience with hair colouring , I just applied the colour to the front side. I applied the mixture to see how much of colour builds in half and hour as mentioned by the instruction leaflet. I washed my hair with a non BBlunt shampoo and conditioner. There are few things I noticed after washing my hair.

  1. Hair feels slightly rough and dull after drying.
  2. The colour building at least takes and hour for those who have dense and thick hair.
  3. The colour is not overpowering, it's very subtle and gives a nice hue to hair.
  4. If you can see my snap, you will see that colour looks way beautiful in sunlight than indoor light.
  5. This how the colour looks after it develops

6. The BBlunt Hair Colour is different from other colours as there is no ammonia. That was my only reason for using it.

7. The BBlunt Hair colour also has an add-on benefit of shine tonic. The effect of shine tonic is seen after 2 to 3 days.

8. BBLUNT Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Colour is meant and will build well incase of grey hair.

9. After using the BBLUNT Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Colour, make sure that you use a good colour protectant shampoo or the BBlunt range of shampoos to maintain your hair structure.

Rating : 4/5

Final Recommendation

If you want to go for global hair colouring at home, all by yourself without hair bleaching and ammonia, BBLUNT Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Colour is the best option. BBLUNT Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Colour is the most cost effective way of colouring hair. I want to try their deeper shades like reddish brown or deeper wine.
