Top honor for Battlefield Rest owner
The Battlefield Rest in Glasgow’s Southside was among the winners at the Scottish Italian Awards last night.
Celebrating the best Italian businesses in Scotland, the awards were held on Sunday night, and we were there to see the winners.
The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Marco Giannasi who has owned the Battlefield Rest since 1994.
Other Glasgow winners included:-
Scotland’s Favourite Italian Business – La Fiorentina
Scotland’s Best Chef – Mediterraneo Ristorante & Champagne Bar.
Best Deli/Cafe – La Pastina Deli,
Scotland’s Best Restaurant Over 50 Seats – La Lanterna
Scotland’s Best Fish and Chips – Enzo’s Crookston
Best Family Friendly Restaurant and Scottish Barista Champion was won by Celino’s Partick.
