Basil or ‘tulsi’ is a medicinal herb, which is known for its wonderful acne-healing properties. It can drive away the bacteria named Propionibacterium acnes successfully and keep pimples and all other sorts of breakouts at bay. If you have long been suffering from acne and other related skin issues, basil can turn out to be that supreme remedy for you. Here are the ways basil can be used to treat acne and pimples:

Basil - The Magical Remedy to Treat Acne and Pimples

1. Fresh Basil Juice

Collect some fresh organic basil leaves and clean them properly. Crush them well to take out the juice. Apply it all over your face or only the troubled parts with the help of a cotton ball and massage gently with fingertips. Wait for 15 minutes so that the juice is absorbed by the skin. Then, wash off with cold water.

2. Regular Basil Tea Toner

Prepare a basil tea toner by boiling 5 to 10 basil leaves in a cup of water for 7 to 10 minutes. You can also replace the fresh leaves with 2 tablespoons of dried leaves or basil powder. Strain the liquid and discard the basil particles. Let the toner cool completely and then, apply onto your facial skin with a cotton ball. However, if you use fresh basil leaves, make sure that you crush them a little in order to extract its natural oil completely.
