B-TOWN GOES TO CANNES - Playing #FashionPolice

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1
Happy Monday Lovelies !

This year CANNES  witnessed some impeccable fashion from our very own B-town celebs like Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor  to name a few. The other Bollywood beauties to don the red-carpet at the 68TH Cannes Film Festival were Katrina Kaif,  Mallika Sherawat and Nanadita Das. There was fashion abundance but my three favorite looks were :

Sonam Kapoor looked ravishing in this  Ralph & Russo indigo gown. The origami details, the off-shoulder neckline, cinched waist, and side-slit hit the right note of sexy yet sophisticated. Talk to me about her curls: it had that over-the-top volume to it,  but with the ruffled waist to counterbalance the top volume, she nailed it. I am not sure if her choice of blush was a good match with her coral lips, but overall she owned this look.

Aishwarya Rai: an epitome of Indian beauty, has what it takes to be the Queen of  red carpet. In an Elie Saab emerald gown, Mrs. Bachchan looked sizzling hot in her all-time favorite red carpet designer's creation. The lining's  hem could have been longer; but nonetheless she looked stunning with her matchy-matchy green eyeliner, paired with that bold burgundy lip.  Her deep side part with face-framing soft curls were a perfect fit to that gorgeous embellished dress.

I was so thrilled to see Katrina Kaif walk her debut-walk at the Cannes Film Festival.  In a gorgeous belted red-lace Elie Saab dress and matching bright red lips, Miss Kat couldn't have looked any sexier. Her sleek hair was perfection but with that red dye, she over-did red. Otherwise she had this look calling her name.

What do you think of the three looks?? Which one's you favorite?

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
