At the Musée Marmottan: Henri Rouart, Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens and the Others.

So Colette sez, "We're out here in the deepest 16th, let's go to the Musée Marmottan," and I, having forgotten what's there, say "OK".

Big mistake, the reason being, Stanislas-Henri Rouart, his real name, was indeed an engineer and industrialist, and a sometime painter of landscapes, think Constable, which if you're into that stuff, which I'm not, is barely tolerable.

As for the Henri Rouart, Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens and the others show from the Brussels/Bruxelles Royal Museum, it seemed to me to be Goundhog Day, until I Googled it and realized the Museum(s) was/were closed for renovation and I was seeing what was loaded up on the truck and shipped out - which helps protect it/them, clean them and occasionally reframe them.

Wows?  I missed them, sorry.
