Former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, will undoubtedly be caught up right in the middle of the firestorm as the House Oversight Committee begins their hearings into the 9-11 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya which killed four Americans. As three "whistle-blowers," are slated to testify, countering the tales the Obama administration has told since that fateful day.
While Clinton, as Secretary of State, did hold much responsibility for decisions made, ultimately the buck stops at the White House with Barack Obama holding the final responsibility. Each and every story by an official of the Obama administration that was told, and later debunked, all fell under his purview.
For example, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, whom Vice President Joe Biden said on Tuesday, "speaks for the president," went on five different news shows and lied to the American public using talking points that were patently false and doctored to hide the true nature of the terrorist attack in Benghazi.
On Sunday morning, Democratic congressman Stephen Lynch discusses those scrubbed talking points after being asked about Steve Hayes's report on "The Benghazi Talking Points."
Lynch: “They certainly weren’t accurate. I don’t know what the process was there. But, absolutely, they were false. They were wrong. There were no protests outside of the Benghazi compound there. This was a deliberate and strategic attack on the consulate there. So any statements that this was sort of like the other protests that we saw in Cairo and other embassies- this was not that type of case. This was a concerted effort. ”
Before stepping down from the Secretary of State position, Clinton fell on the sword, so to speak, and accepted full responsibility for the failures that led to the deaths of the four Americans in Libya on 9/11/12, but when all is said and done, Clinton's decisions fall on Obama.
Rice was Obama's mouthpiece on the television, lying to the public. Every single person who has resigned or accepted culpability for the systematic failures in Benghazi, is part of the Obama administration.
The buck stops with Barack Obama for every decision made, action taken, action denied and statements made after the fact.
